Financial Aid Costs & Need

Financial Need is determined by the formula below. The Cost of Attendance (COA) is located in the second chart below and the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) is the number that you get after your FAFSA is processed. FAO will attempt to meet your Financial Need with the Types of Aid available to the college on a first completed and qualified basis.

FINANCIAL NEED FORMULA

Each year, the college determines its expected Cost of Attendance based on standard allowances for similar students. Below is the Cost of Attendance at our college for the Academic Year 2009-2010. Your actual costs may be higher or lower.

( ) = non resident tuition is $272/per credit and resident tuition is $79 per credit 
( ) = non-residents pay a one-time $25 application fee.

Note that amounts for ¹Tuition, ²Fees, ³ Books & Supplies, and ⁴Living are subject to change and can be adjusted to individual circumstances, upon request. Educational assistance received from agencies outside the school is also used in determining your remaining financial need.
