FINANCIAL AID WORK STUDY
WHAT IS THE FEDERAL WORK STUDY (FWS) PROGRAM?
Under the FWS program you can work part-time to earn money for your education. The FWS Program provides:
Part-time employment while you are enrolled in school
Help to pay for your educational costs
Available to undergraduate and graduate students
Administered by schools participating in the FWS program
Encourages community service and work related to your course of study whenever possible

Search for Open Jobs using your MyUH portal Username and Password at the SECE Web Site
Print Job Referrals and contact information from this Web Site
Call to schedule a job interview appointment with the contact person
The contact person will inform you if you are hired
If you accepted a Federal Work Study Award Offer, please inform your Supervisor to contact the Financial
Aid Office for an account number and work study allocation.
You and Your Supervisor will complete on-line Personnel Forms and determine your work schedule

If you experience any problems using the SECE Web Site contact either the Financial Aid Office or the Personnel Office.
Summer PT Workers:
If you work during the summer months, below are two publicatons applicable to summer student employees:

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
You may work no more than 20 hours per week during instructional periods. You are encouraged not to report to work if your class is cancelled
unless, your supervisor makes a note of the cancelled class on your timesheet. Timesheets are due into the Business Office every two weeks.
You will be given a schedule of when timesheets are due and when you will be paid upon completion of your personnel forms.
