Financial Aid Loan Interview
All student loan borrowers must complete a student loan entrance interview prior to receiving
their first loan disbursement. Kaua'i CC participates in more than one student loan program. At this time, only
Federal Stafford Loan Borrowers have an option of completing an on-line loan entrance and exit interview.
This option may not be for everyone and if you feel more comfortable asking questions and
receiving an in-person interview, please contact the office to schedule an appointment.
We recommend the following timeline for entering your information at USA Funds website:
Interview results will be forwarded to the college electronically. You may track your loan award
and payments by going to your MyUH Portal. Some lenders will be mailing checks to the college and others will be depositing it into your MyUH Portal
account. Please check with the Financial Aid Office if you have any questions. If you are a first-time college student, there may be a 30 day delay
in your first loan disbursement.
Department of Education Ombudsman - If you are unable to resolve a dispute with the lending institution concerning the terms of your Federal
Student Loan you may contact the Department of Education Ombudsman via the internet at http://ombudsman.ed.gov or http://sfahelp.ed.gov,
by telephone at 877-557-2575 or by mail at Office of the Ombudsman, Student Financial Assistance, U.S. Department of Education, Rm. 3012, ROB #3, 7th and D Streets, SW, Washington DC 20202.
