The ‘awapuhi kuahiwi
( Zingiber zerumbet ) is part of the Zingiberaceae (ginger family).

The scientific name for the cycad
(sago palm) is Cycas revoluta , and it comes from the Cycadaceae family.

The Formosan koa (Acacia confusa) originated from Taiwan and the Philippines and was introduced to Hawaii in 1915. It belongs to the Mimosaceae family.

Hala (Pandanus tectorius) belongs to the Pandanaceae (Screwpine) family. Hala is found throughout the Pacific Islands along the shorelines and coastal cliffs.

Kamani, also known as ( Calophyllum inophyllum ), is found in Hawaii and South Asia. It's also called the Alexandrian laurel.	The Royal Poinciana, also known as ‘ Ohai-‘Ula (Hawaiian name) or Delonix regia (scientific name) , grows up to 40 ft.
The ravenala madagascariensis (scientific name) is known as the traveler's palm. This plant's family name is Strelitziaceae.	The tiare is also known as the Tahitian gardenia.This plant's family name is Rubiaceae. It is a close relative to coffee.
