Description: This course introduces and explores the
historical roots and fundamental principles of early childhood care
and education programs, the variety and scope of programs in the community,
issues confronting the field, and career options. Students learn about and
practice using observation and assessment tools to record children’s
growth and learning. This course may be taken on a CR/N basis.
