ENG 19 – Writing Essentials

Description: Writing instruction in this course concentrates on sentence structure and paragraph development, with particular emphasis on topic sentences, organization, support, and correctness. Students will write an assortment of informal compositions of varying lengths. Through structured reading and writing, students will improve their skills in vocabulary, usage, punctuation, grammar, spelling, and structure. Students will also be introduced to a variety of study skills and self-management models as a means of increasing their academic successes.  Fall, Spring
