ETRO 287L - Computer Systems and Networking Laboratory

Prereq: “C” or higher in ETRO 280.

Description: Students will gain hands-on experience working with
computer hardware, peripheral devices, operating systems and networks by working
on a series of laboratory assignments. Students will build, upgrade, maintain, and
troubleshoot computer and network hardware. Operating system installation, optimization,
and troubleshooting are also included. Students also research and develop
a project related to computer technology and present this project as a
capstone experience. This experience re-enforces the content of the computer
systems lecture course and provides the necessary qualification to work as entry-level computer technicians.
