MATH 21 – Basic Math and Pre-Algebra

Description: This course allows
students to investigate real-life
situations and to recognize the
importance of mathematics in their own
lives. Topics of study include basic
arithmetic, basic geometry and statistics,
the real number system, variables andalgebraic expressions, ratios and
proportions, and simple linear
equations. The primary focus of this
course is to motivate and prepare
students for algebra and beyond. Study
skills are incorporated to improve
student success in college.
