Description: This is a first-level course,
which is a continuation of NURS 156—
Adult Health Nursing I. The primary
focus is on the common, physiological
conditions, performance of skills, and
therapeutic techniques to meet self-care
needs (universal, developmental, and
health deviation). Emphases are on the
student’s role as a member of the
nursing team, participation in the total
nursing process, and proficiency in
nursing skills. Clinical experiences take
place in a variety of settings.
