Borrowing Books from Other UH Libraries

- How do you borrow books or articles from other UH System Libraries?
If you are a KCC student or a
student on Kauai taking distance classes through the University
of Hawaii system, you can order books and/or articles from
the UH system through the IntraSystem Loan Service.
- How long does it take to receive the books or articles?
Requests generally take between 5-7 days.

What is the cost
of the service?
There are no charges for books or for journal articles under 50 pages. There is a charge
of $3.00 for each microfiche.

How do I order materials?
- Search the UH Libraries' online catalog Hawaii Voyager.
- Make sure that the full record for the item displays.
- If the needed research materials are NOT available (not owned, checked out, lost, missing, at bindery, etc.) at the Kauai Community College Library, click the Get This Item link on the right of the page.
- For Books: select Hold or Transfer This Item.
- Fill in online form and submit.

Where do I pick up book loans?
- Book loans may be picked up only at the Kauai Community College Library Circulation Desk.

How long can I keep
ILL items?
The length of the loan period is usually 4
weeks. The loan period begins when the book is received at
the KCC Library, so you should pick up your item as soon as
you are notified.
