<h1>Kauai Community College Performing Arts Center</h1>
<p>The Kaua`i Community College Performing Arts Center is a 560 seat theater which
opened in 1995,<br>
after it was damaged by Hurricane Iniki during initial construction.</p>
<p>The Performing Arts Center presents a variety of performing arts events, including
Hawaiian music<br>
and dance, classical and jazz music, plays and foreign/independent films. In
the first two years, 85<br>
events have been held in the Performing Arts Center attracting more than 27,000
Kaua`i residents<br>
and visitors. Events held at the Kaua`i Community College Performing Arts Center
included musicians<br>
such as The Brothers Cazimero and Charlie Byrd, international touring groups
from Africa, Japan<br>
and Brazil and theatrical performances by Hollywood celebrities like Anne Francis
and Lauren Tom. </p>
<p>The Performing Arts Center is also used by community non-profit organizations,
including the<br>
Kaua`i Concert Association and the Hawaii International Film Festival. </p>
