Beth Carlozzi,

Beth teaches primarily medical-surgical nursing with a specialty in oncology and cancer care. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2002 and has been an Oncology Certified Nurse since 1998. Currently, she is working on implementing genetics into the nursing curriculum and offering genetic workshops. In addition, she is pursuing a post-master’s certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner. |
Janice Carmichael,

Jan works with the Pre-entry Academy for Future Nurses (Epscor) program, a preadmission program for nursing students. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1980 as a Maternal-Child Clinical Nurse Specialist. |

Rick is the program director for the Career Ladder Nursing Program at Kauai Community College. He has been at KCC since 1986. He received his Master's in Nursing and Public Health in 1980 from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He has been a Family Nurse Practitioner since 1978. |
Teresa Dressler,

Teresa teaches Maternal/Child and Advanced Medical Surgical classes. She graduated with her MSN from Wesley College in Dover, Delaware and is working on her PhD in Nursing Education. Her research involves underserved populations and pet therapy for the elderly. Her interests revolve around her children and enjoying life on Kauai. |

Maria comes with experience in Medical-Surgical nursing and Advance Practice nursing in family practice. She graduated from UH Manoa in May 2001 as a Family Nurse Practitioner with a Master’s degree in nursing. Her interests include surfing and practicing martial arts. |

Tom's nursing background includes community health, rural hospice and home care. Tom has taught Medical-Surgical Clinicals and NCLEX review couses for graduating RN and PN students at various colleges across the U.S. He is creating for publication nursing cartoon books as teaching tools for nursing students. Tom received his Masters in Nursing Education from the University of Phoenix 1996 and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Iota Upsilon Chapter. |
Joan Langan,

Joan's background is principally community psychiatric /mental health nursing and private practice in holistic nursing. She received a M.S.N. in Psych/MH from the University of Pennsylvania in 1968 and is a graduate of the N.Y.C. Ohashi Institute for Shiatsu, 1990. |
Joanne Noone,

Joanne teaches primarily medical-surgical nursing courses, as well as Nursing 259 Basic EKG Interpretation. She received a Master's in Medical Surgical Nursing from Adelphi University in 1985, a Post-Master's Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 1997 and a PhD in Nursing in 2003 from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She has been at KCC since 1987. |
Char Ono,

Char teaches primarily psychiatric and medical-surgical nursing courses. She received a Master's in Nursing Administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1990. She has been at KCC since 1991. Char is certified as an Instructor Trainer in Basic Life Support and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Gamma Psi Chapter. She completed her post-master's certificate in the Family Nurse Practitioner program from UH in May 2001. She is currently in the doctoral program at UH. |
Mary Jo Sweeney,

Mary Jo is the Family and Child Health Instructor for both first and second level nursing courses. She has been teaching at KCC since 2001. Mary Jo has a Master's in Nursing Administration from the University of Hawaii. She has extensive experience in maternal-child community health. |
