Resources for International Students at Kauai Community College Studying abroad at KCC Kauai Community College is situated on the scenic island of Kauai, the northernmost and oldest of the major Hawaiian islands. It is a 2-year comprehensive public community college and the only college on the island. Its 80-hectare campus is located just west of the major town of Lihue. As a small rural community with a population of just 60,000, Kauai offers a safe, nurturing, and culturally diverse setting for all students. With a small-campus feel and supportive learning environment, KCC can provide its international learners a rich and inclusive setting for intensive language acquisition. International students can enroll in special English Language Institute (ELI) classes and have access to other resources such as an international students advisor, supplemental language support services, and International Students Club. International students also benefit from smaller class sizes and a low number of foreign students on campus which provides more opportunity for English language interaction and immersion. |
