The Learning Center and College Success Program at Kauai Community
College are academic
support units dedicated to serving the diverse needs of our students
through a variety of courses, services, and special programs.
These include individual and group tutoring by volunteer faculty,
community, and trained student tutors; Focus Labs and the Peer
Assistant Program for challenging courses; the Writing and Math/Science
Labs; an open computer lab; college success workshops; campus and
distance learning testing; and a number of other support services to
help all students make the best of their college education.
Whether you're a brand new student or an experienced one, the Learning
Center has something for you!
The
mission of the Learning Center and College Success Program is to help
all students develop competence, confidence, and mastery not only of
their course work, but their college experience as a whole. In a
collaborative, supportive, and innovative learning environment,
students are encouraged along their own pathways to success -- for
today, and for tomorrow.
