Student Orientation

New distance learning students are welcome to attend a Distance Learning Student Orientation held at the beginning of every Fall and Spring semester.  The orientation covers (1) MyUH Portal; (2) Learning Center services such as testing, tutoring, and writing assistance; (3) accessing online library and research resources, and (4) WebCT (an Internet courseware interface used in UH system online classes and many other UH classes).  Students also have the opportunity to network with other distance learning students.

For those who cannot attend the orientation, individual "mini" orientations may be requested by contacting the University Center.
